This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in United States.

Role Title: Passport Acceptance Agent

Time Commitment: 20-30 hours/week, short-term project

the company is looking for Passport Acceptance Agents to help evaluate and improve AI systems on passport topics. You'll use your front-counter experience to check that questions sound like real applicants and that answers are correct and useful. Accuracy comes first. No AI experience is needed; your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

• Review sample passport questions and flag any that don't sound like what real applicants ask.
• Write rubrics that define a correct, complete answer on new applications, renewals, and replacements, including forms, fees, and processing options.
• Cover identity and citizenship documents, photo requirements, and applications for minors in your rubrics.
• Evaluate AI-generated answers against your rubrics, flagging errors, omissions, and outdated guidance.
• Share clear written feedback with the project team, working asynchronously.

Required Qualifications

• Current or recent passport acceptance agent designation (post office, county clerk, library, or similar)
• 1+ years helping the public with passport applications
• Working knowledge of forms, fees, ID and citizenship documents, and rules for minors
• US-based
• Able to start quickly and commit 20-30 hours/week
• Clear, precise writing

Nice to Have

• Experience with lost, stolen, or damaged passports and name changes
• Experience creating guides, checklists, or training materials
• Experience helping a diverse range of applicants, including rural and non-English-speaking customers
