Inventory Specialist

An Inventory Specialist is responsible for keeping track of all inventories, ingoing and outgoing, within the Fisheries Design and Technical Services Program. Their main duties include ensuring inventory count is up to date, logging all inventory in an organized spreadsheet and/or inventory software, and ensuring that quantities of products, materials, supplies, and equipment are always maintained. As well as developing protocols for loss mitigation.

1. Oversee inventory and order additional products and supplies when needed. 2. Digitally manage inventory and create inventory reports. 3. Prevent shortages of supply or manage unexpected shortages. 4. Reconcile inventory differences between physical stock and digital data. 5. Review incoming and outgoing orders. 6. Create, update, and maintain supplier purchasing files that are complete with pricing information. 7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 1. G8: Bachelor of Science degree in related field with one year of job specified experience. 2. G9: Bachelor of Science degree in related field with two years of job specified experience. 3. Employees must be willing to acquire any special certifications or attend any training that is determined to be relevant or become required of the position in the future. 4. Candidates with equivalent combinations of education, training and experience will be considered. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Exceptional organizational skills 2. Strong computer skills 3. Excellent time management skills 4. Good communication skills, both written and verbal 5. Attention to detail 6. Excellent problem-solving skills 7. Strong decision-making skills 8. Excellent financial skills (e.g. budgeting, calculating, accounting) 9. Recognition that in order to serve Yurok People one must know as much as possible about Yurok history, culture and values.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES/CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: 1.
