This is a part time position. The host site is provided with no-charge utilities (water, sanitary pump out, electricity). Camp Host reside in their own RV or trailer at the HCFA RV Site. Upon separation notice by the Chief Executive Officer the Camp Host is responsible for vacating the site no laterthan five (5) days of notice.

About Humboldt County Fair Association

Since 1896 the Humboldt County Fair Association (HCFA) has held the annual Humboldt County Fair. The Association was formally established in December 26, 1924 as a California non-profit public benefit corporation.HCFA is governed by an eleven (11) member Board of Directors, the policy and financial policy making body for the Association, and they designate a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) responsible for implementing their direction and managing the Association's employees. The Association entered into an agreement with the County of Humboldt to manage the Humboldt County Fair and Event Center. The Association acts as the County's agent to operate and manage the Center. The Fairgrounds are located in the town of Ferndale and includes approximately 65-acres that houses exhibit buildings, livestock barns, a historic grandstand, a 1/2 mile dirt horse racing track, midway and carnival lots. Included on the property is a recreational vehicle park with 60 site hooks and dry campground facilities.

RV CAMP HOST

This is a part time position. The host site is provided with no-charge utilities (water, sanitary pump out, electricity). Camp Host reside in their own RV or trailer at the HCFA RV Site. Upon separation notice by the Chief Executive Officer the Camp Host is responsible for vacating the site no later than five (5) days of notice.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

ASSIGNED DUTIES

Management reserves the right to add, modify, change, or rescind the work assignments of different positions and to make reasonable accommodations so that qualified employees can perform the essential functions of the job.
• Greet park visitors
• Registering and collecting camping fees using Fair's payment collection system.
• Providing visitor with information to ensure their visit is safe and enjoyable, understand park regulations.
• Assist in coordination or conducting some light maintenance, such as cleaning vacant campsites, restrooms, eating areas, and other common areas.
• Answer park phone
• Report issues of concern to the C.E.O.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
• Follows oral and written instructions.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work cooperatively with team members and others.

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
• Work is performed indoors and outdoors.
• Involves exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, chemicals, and unpleasant odors.
• Stands, walks, and/or moves for sustained periods.
• Moves objects at least 20 pounds.
• Works a flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends as necessary.
