Job Summary:
This role is for a Radiation Therapist responsible for delivering radiation therapy to patients. The position requires proficiency in radiation therapy techniques, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The therapist will work day shifts and may be required to float between units.

Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments according to established protocols and physician's orders.
- Monitor patients during treatment and report any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
- Ensure accurate documentation of treatment parameters and patient information in the electronic medical record (Epic).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Maintain and calibrate radiation therapy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- Assist with patient positioning and immobilization to ensure accurate treatment delivery.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Performs data entry into electronic medical database systems. Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Performs selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinates equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Performs any other related duties (e.g., clerical, technical duties) as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiation Therapy.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Special Considerations:
- Must be willing to float between units as needed.
- Facility is able to call off once per two week pay period.
- RTO must be included at time of submission.
Scheduling:
- Day shift, 8 hours.
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Block scheduling is per manager discretion.
