Job: Phlebotomist

Location: Providence Saint Joseph Hospital, Eureka, CA

Duration: 13 Weeks Contract (Start: 04/20/2026)

Shift timings: Night 4x10-Hour (02:00 AM – 12:30 PM)

Job Description:

Perform blood collection procedures using syringe and vacutainer methods while ensuring proper patient identification and aseptic technique. Handle specimen processing, including centrifuging, aliquoting, and proper storage of samples. Ensure accurate labeling, timely transport of specimens, and compliance with laboratory standards. Work across multiple units including ICU and ER, handling patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. Maintain proper documentation and data entry in the system while following hospital protocols and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Phlebotomy experience – Required
• CPT I Certification (California) – Required
• BLS Certification – Required
• Travel experience – Required
• Trauma Level I experience – Required
