Role Overview

Customer Service Representatives will handle outbound calls, document customer transactions, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. The role involves safeguarding patient health information (PHI), supporting claims processing, and adhering to scheduled shifts for optimal coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct outbound calls and campaigns as directed
  • Document customer transactions thoroughly in host systems
  • Adhere to scheduled shifts to maintain phone coverage
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and information security policies
  • Safeguard PHI in strict accordance with company procedures
  • Follow safety guidelines under the Illness and Injury Prevention Program
  • Assist with healthcare claims inquiries and processing
  • Identify and resolve data entry discrepancies
  • Multitask and prioritize workload effectively
  • Adapt to changes and make judgment calls when necessary

Required Skills and Experience

Essential
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of call center experience
  • At least 6 months of healthcare claims experience
  • Ability to read and interpret business correspondence, procedure manuals, and plan documents
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Intermediate typing skills
  • Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and follow written directions (emails, SOPs)
  • Self-motivation and adaptability

Other Requirements
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including overtime
  • Private, secured workspace free from distractions
