Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Radiologist and Lead Breast Center Nurse, and with latitude for independent judgment, performs all professional duties involved in applying ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis at the technical level. Acts in compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Joint Commission standards. Produces and evaluates images and related data to be used by physicians to render medical diagnoses. Performs related clerical tasks and assumes responsibility for coordinating exams performed.

Required Qualifications

• Education sufficient to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
• Mammographic Radiologic Technology Certification.
• National Registered Technologist - Mammography.
• BLS Certification from an accredited provider.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Mammography.
• Experience with MQSA standards.
