Overview

The California Institute of Technology (Caltech) seeks a proven leader to serve as Associate Vice President (AVP) of Audit Services and Institute Compliance & Chief Compliance Officer. This senior role oversees internal audit, compliance, and enterprise risk management functions across Caltech and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team to deliver best-in-class audit and compliance services.
• Develop and implement risk-based audit and compliance plans.
• Advise senior leadership and trustees on assurance and risk matters.
• Ensure adherence to complex laws, regulations, and policies across Caltech and JPL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (MBA or master's preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of senior-level audit and compliance leadership experience.
• Strong communication skills and proven problem-solving abilities.
• Eligibility for security clearance is required.

Salary and Benefits

The anticipated and budgeted hiring salary range is $340,000 to $360,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
