Director, NorCal Occupier Services, Project & Development Services

Job Description Summary

The Director will provide leadership to the overall project management service line for a designated market, including business development, operations, financial management, client relations, and project execution. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic objectives for Project & Development Services (PDS) in collaboration with regional and local leaders. The position aims to establish Cushman & Wakefield as a thought leader and premier service provider in the industry.

Essential Job Duties

  1. Interface regularly with clients to ensure successful project delivery, goal achievement, and act as a trusted advisor.
  2. Manage project finances, including budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and cost reports.
  3. Oversee due diligence, programming, design, entitlements, bidding, permitting, procurement, team selection, scheduling, contractor and vendor management, sustainability, and post-construction services.
  4. Operate effectively across various project types and complex environments.
  5. Identify and develop new business opportunities.
  6. Manage capital improvement programs across multiple sites.
  7. Negotiate contracts and oversee vendor performance.
  8. Address potential liabilities and risks with leadership.
  9. Provide on-site supervision to ensure performance standards.
  10. Utilize PDS technology effectively for project management.
  11. Manage PDS staff, including policy adherence, development, performance, and motivation.

Education/Experience/Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with at least 2 years in management.
  • Proven ability in business development, client relationship management, and local market involvement.
