JOB SUMMARY

Serves beverages and food, accepts money and makes change, stocks supplies, and assists bartender as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages quickly, responsibly, and professionally.
• Maintain stock supplies.
• Assisting in keeping the lounge area clean, sanitized and presentable.
• Provide quality customer service.
• Maintain clean casino floor and Lounge (glasses, bottles, cups, ashtrays etc.).
• Accurately counts and reconciles revenue.
• Assists bartenders as needed.
• Promotes lounge menu.
• Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding drink service.
• Writes order on check or memorizes it.
• Relays orders to bar or kitchen and serves drinks from service bars.
• Garnishes and decorates non-alcoholic beverages prior to serving.
• Totals bill, accepts payment, and make correct change.
• Routinely clears and resets counters and/or tables.
• Must wear black non-slip boots.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three months related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • While employed, you must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.
  • Must complete TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) training for serving alcohol responsibly within three months of being employed and maintain a valid certificate while employed thereafter.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 21 years of age.
