Reconcile selected general ledger accounts; write journal entries for reclassification of expenses as needed.
Serves as back-up for all Accounting positions.
Meet deadlines as specified.
Work collaboratively with other members of our Accounting Team to assist in the realization of mutual goals.
Participate in Open Book Management.
Attend collaborative meetings and trainings as necessary.
Regularly check email for important company communications and review posted memos.
Attend and actively participate in department meetings, store-wide and org-wide meetings, and trainings, as requested.
Assist in other departments, inventory counts, store-wide cleaning, and perform all other duties, as assigned.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 years of similar computer experience.
Preferred: Experience with Sage 100 accounting software
Preferred: Experience in grocery accounting
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical Requirements
Sit and stand for extended periods of time.
Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders.
Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
Regularly talk or listen.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Repetitive use of hands/arms for reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate unless at an event. Ability to work in moderate and loud noise environments including, but not limited to; computers, paging, telephones, human voices, sound system and machinery. Job-related travel between Arcata and Eureka area.
Customary Work Schedule
This is a full-time non-union position that typically works Monday through Friday, with appropriate rest and meal breaks provided. Nights and weekend shifts may occasionally be required to meet business needs.
